External Advisory Committee

1. Terms of Reference

This committee will act as an advisory and oversight committee to the EGEE senior management and to the EGEE Director in particular, specifically;

• Provide clear guidance and support to the Director of the project on relevant Grid activities within the EU and internationally;
• Suggest and comment on the strategic priorities and policy of the project;
• Recommend appropriate arrangements that will realize synergies and coherence across similar international Grid projects;
• Advise the EGEE Director on proposed methods of working and a coherent operational work-plan;
• Participate to the periodic project conferences and assess the progress of the project;
• Read and comment on the project periodic reports
• Suggest if necessary corrective actions
• Advise on appropriate dissemination plans to advertise the results of the project.

2. Membership

The members are expected to comment and agree on the terms of reference of their mission and agree among themselves a chair for this committee. This committee will be assisted by the Project Office for logistic matters.

3. Relationships

The EAC will interact mostly with the project director and be invited as necessary to the relevant senior technical and management bodies (PMB, PEB, etc.)

4. Reporting

The EGEE EAC will formally report to the EGEE Project Director, according to the following diagram.
