Job Priorities WG

The WG is dormant waiting for the revised authorization framework

The Job Priorities working group is exploring the needs of the different application domains in sharing CPU resources within a  Virtual Organization. A typical scenario would be the sharing of resources between a central organized production and
the user activities with a chaotic usage pattern.  This scenario has aspects that reach from the authorization and control
of jobs to the monitoring of resource usage. It is not only affected by the functionality of grid middleware components,
but also with their actual deployment and configuration. The mandate of the working group is to access the requirements of the different application domains.  These requirements should be confronted with the available functionality of grid middleware components and their  actual use in the EGEE infrastructure. To address urgent needs of the community, the final document should propose initial solutions that can be implemented with existing middleware components by appropriate configuration and deployment. For requirements that need  extensions of the current middleware components priorities  have to be defined to steer the future development.
